Play Time

Carter had his friend Ian over, for playtime, a few weekends ago, while his mommy and daddy moved into their new house. Ian is almost exactly a month older than Carter. They got along so well. I was surprised at how much they interacted. They got excited to see each other and smiled and laughed at each other the whole time. Well, until nap time. Then they both got fussy at the same time. I got a good taste of what it would be like to have twins. WOW!

First Camping Trip

Pictures: The first one is bed time. The second is diaper changing in the tent. The third is me and Carter sitting by the camp fire while Adam cooks dinner. The fourth is Adam and Carter right before our nature walk.
Adam and I decided to take a little one night camping trip. It was great. Carter loved being outside and he couldn't take his eyes off of the camp fire. We cooked brats with peppers and onions for dinner and Ziploc bag omelets for breakfast. We of course made smores. I mean what is a camp out without smores. It was all very yummy! We went for a nature walk and then sat around the fire and talked. We had the best time!!! Carter was great. He is the best baby. We also took the dogs. They did great. They love being outside. The only part that they don't like is having to be tied up. This prevents them from chasing every squirrel that scurries by. Carter got a big kick out of watching them. Well, out first camp out was wonderful. There will be many more!!!

Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail

Here are some of Carter's Easter pictures. Enjoy!! We had the best time visiting my family for Easter. Carter was so good. He was great for all the pictures. I went shopping with my mom and sisters. We went fishing. Carter got a little sun on his nose. Carter really likes my brother's dog, Lucy. Carter just watched her and laughed. Family time is the best!!!

Rat Tail Be Gone

So I know I talked in another post about the wonderful rat tail which my son had developed. Well, this rat tail was holding on for dear life. I mean all his other hair had fallen out and the rat tail was not only staying but it was growing and getting thicker!! Considering that I am from MS and living in AL, I know the sterotypes that go along with a rat tail. I could not longer allow my son to represent the redneck community in this way. Today I cut the rat tail. It was a proud and sad moment all in one. I took pictures so the rat tail may live on. Enjoy!
